Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you use Budget Buddy at budgetbuddy.space and app.budgetbuddy.space (the "Service"). The Service is operated by an individual based in Sri Lanka ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Budget Buddy helps you record income, spending, subscriptions and loans, and view statistics and reports. It is a record-keeping tool, not financial, tax, legal or investment advice.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect misuse.
• You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.

3. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no attempts to access other people's data, disrupt or overload it, reverse engineer it, or use it for unlawful activity.

4. Your data

You own the data you enter. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the Service for you. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Accuracy of figures

Calculations, exchange rates and loan balances are provided for your information. Exchange rates come from third-party sources and may differ from the rate a bank applies to you. Loan figures depend on what you enter and may differ from your lender's records. Always check important figures against your bank statements.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. Material changes will be shown on this page with a new effective date.

7. Termination

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from decisions you make based on figures in the Service.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law where you live says otherwise.
